M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

The faces on the bottom are my daughter's kindergarten teacher and the kids in her class.

Cupcake Fun

Just testing out different decorating methods...

Wedding Anniversary Cake

Laurel used gold here and it looks so elegant.

Topsy Turvy Wedding Cake

Laurel made this look so fun!

Plumeria Wedding Cake

I love this one that Laurel made.

Conversation Hearts

Laurel did this one as well. Connecting all those fondant pieces must have been really tough!

Nativity Scene

Laurel did this one. It is made with the mini molds.

U.S. Marine

This is the "hero" cake pan that I made to go with the Santa's workshop cake, below.

Santa's Workshop

This is a 3-D house cake that I decorated to look like Santa's workshop for a Christmas party for my husband's unit.

Thanksgiving Roasted Cake

This was achieved by carving a double layered cake and a separate loaf cake for the legs and wings. I then iced it and used spray color for a browning effect. then I put on a thin layer of piping gel to make it look glossy.

Gobble Time Cupcakes

Saw this design in the Sunday coupons...cute.

Friend Owl

This is an image transfer onto a chocolate cheese cake. I drew the image, traced it with piping gel onto plastic wrap then flipped the plastic wrap onto the cake. Then I could trace it once again with icing and fill in with piped stars.

Mermaid

Emily loves sea themes. I bought a Disney Ariel doll to put in the top, but discovered that the only way to get it to fit would be to disassemble the doll. So if you want to use a full size "Barbie" doll, you'll either need to chop of her legs or use a bowl pan taller than the Wilton Wonder Mold.

Choo-Choo!

This was for my dad when he turned 78. His grandfather was a conductor with the Illinois Central Railroad and as a child my dad spent a lot of time on those trains.

Wonder Woman!

This is the cake I made for my sister. She is a wonder woman...I had to buy the cake pan off of eBay because it was retired a long, long time ago. The face is a plastic plate that comes with the pan.

Farmer Dave

This is a tractor cake made for a friend who was going to move to a farm.

Nick & Belinda's Wedding Cake

This is the wedding cake that my mother-in-law, Laurel, made for her son's wedding. It is decorated with fondant and foil candies.

Cute as a Bug!

Made this one for my niece. This was my first lesson on how to make red and black icing. I learned that the colors intensify over time so although you do need to use quite a bit of coloring, you probably don't need to use as much as you think you do...just wait for the color to set in.

My First Wilton Cake

My daughter is a huge Pokemon fan and my mother-in-law introduced me to the Wilton decorating method. It was so much fun, I decided to do more...
